Use NOAA chart #13228 and 132218 for safe passage into Westport Harbor. The entrance is well marked, but should be approached with caution with a strong southerly wind, as we are open to the ocean. There is plenty of water and has a very sandy bottom on approach. Stay between Half-Mile rock and the Knubble and mind the tide. It trips through here and can catch you off guard.
The entire channel was re-marked by the Coast Guard in 2001, so the numbers will differ from any of the older charts. Give us a shout on channel 9 if you need help, and we will talk you in.
